: I have a quick question about judgements. I am being sued by an attorney in the state of Ohio, I live in PA. The problem, this attorney did not "deliver" as promised or paid to do. Anyway, after a two year period of not paying this man, he threatened to file a judgement against me. I contacted him and he agreed to accept payments, and would remove any and all court proceedings when the payments were shown to be coming as agreed. This attorney then accepts my payments (verbal agreement) and continues to file a judgement against me. My pre-trial date has been post-poned (attorney on vacation), and I can not miss work to attend this in another state. How can he do this after accepting my payments for last six months? Is there any advantages my way? Thanks
