I do have one more question because my ex's car is haunting me through this entire process. When I filed 7, my ex has a 1999 car. I had to put it on the schedule because it was in my name too. He received it in the divorce degree and the Creditor (Crysler)doesn't care who got it in the divorce they want their money. My ex was 2 months behind when I filed and Crysler filed a claim and wanted possesion of the car. Now my ex has the car payed off. He wants me to sign the title with him when he gets it, it's still in my name. I asked my Attorney and he said don't sign it. He received it in the divorce degree and you don't have to sign anything. My ex keeps bugging me about this. Also on my most recent credit report it states Joint account on two of the agencies and Co-signer on the other. I don't know which one I am. The only reason I had to sign at all is because I was using a chrysler discount from a family member who worked at Chrysler.

: As far as your refund, there really is no guideline on how much of a tax refund is exempt. Tax refund is money that the Uncle Sam took from your wages, so you would have to figure out how much of your wages are exempt(Ohio 75%). But the other thing you have to think about is that a tax refund is also generally considered disposable income by many trustees. Some peole have had to turn over their entire refund and get nothing in return. If you do get anything back it will because not enough creditors filed a claim to exhaust the entire refund.
